Vlad Junior’s monstrous performance

The 2019 home run derby was one for the ages. Going into the derby, a lot of baseball fans were questioning the reason as to why Vlad Jr. was in the homerun derby since he hasn’t been able to produce all-star stats yet this year. Well, I can tell you that after the derby, despite Pete Alonso taking the championship, Vlad Jr. managed to silence his critics by smashing homerun after home run and setting the derby record of 29 in his first round. Beating the previous record of 28.

Vladimir Guerrero took the homerun derby by storm by crushing a whopping 91 homeruns throughout the competition. Despite his record setting numbers, he still managed to lose to competition.
